Sloe Gin Fizz is one of those cocktails that you can usually shake up at the last minute because, aside from the sloe gin, you may already have the other ingredients on hand: lemon juice, sugar, and club soda. That's it!
The fun folks at Spirit Works recently sent me a bottle of their Sloe Gin to try, and We could not wait to make a classic Sloe Gin Fizz with it!

Sometimes Sloe Gin Fizz contains frothy egg white at the top and while it looks pretty, not everyone loves the idea of downing egg whites with their cocktail. We left that ingredient out for this recipe.
This is a Class A cocktail that We think you will truly love, whether your fizz bubbles up to the top of the glass, or simply sparks up to say hello and then rests back like mine. We've seen (and tried) many variations of Sloe Gin Fizz and it's all good, the friends.

SpiritWorks Distillery Sloe Gin

SpiritWorks Sloe Gin is the only traditional sloe gin crafted in the US. The all-female distilling team at Spirit Works is lead by co-founder Ashby Marshall. The recipe for their Sloe Gin is an updated version based on a generations-old family recipe from Ashby's British husband and distillery co-founder, Timo Marshall.
Sloe Gin differs from straight gin in that it is made from whole sloe berries (a tiny relative of the plum) which are steeped into the gin. This gives it nice berry and citrus notes, a bright vibrant color, and it's sweet without being syrupy. If you've tried slow gin before and thought it was too sweet, try SpiritWorks Sloe Gin — We think you'll find it well balanced and mighty tasty!
