🧄 Ingredient notes
Cooking spray – Use a non-aerosol cooking spray to coat the air fryer basket or trays. We usually use this avocado oil spray. But you can also use grapeseed oil spray or even olive oil spray in air fryers up to 400°F.
Shrimp – Use large raw shrimp and be sure to peel and devein the shrimp if needed. If your shrimp is frozen, be sure to thaw it completely before cooking.
Sweet Chili Sauce – You can use the homemade sweet chili sauce recipe to make your own from scratch. Or, use your favorite sweet chili sauce.
Mayonnaise – We use vegan mayo since We'm dairy-free, but you can use any classic, non-flavored mayonnaise here.
Sriracha- The amount of sriracha called for in the recipe makes a MILD sauce, with simply a little kick and a lot of flavor. But you can always add more sriracha if you want more heat!
Breadcrumbs – Use panko breadcrumbs, which give the shrimp a nice extra crunch to each bite. If you have regular breadcrumbs, you can use that instead.
Coconut milk – Using coconut milk makes this bang bang shrimp extra luxurious, and it keeps it as a dairy-free shrimp recipe. But you can use regular milk or whatever your favorite non-dairy alternative milk is, if you prefer.

Notes
Milk: We use coconut milk or almond milk to keep this dairy-free but you can use regular milk if you want. Heat level: The amount of sriracha in the recipe adds flavor without heat to the sauce, so it's not quite spicy. Add more sriracha to the sauce if you want more heat in the dish! Sauce: This recipe makes simply enough sauce to cover the shrimp before it goes in the air fryer for the second time. If you want saucier shrimp, make extra sauce to pour over the finished shrimp or to serve alongside it. Batches: Depending on your air fryer, you will most likely need to air fry the shrimp in two to three batches, so as not to overcrowd the shrimp and allow them to cook properly. We usually cook this recipe in two batches. Storage: Store leftover bang bang shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 or 4 days.Nutrition
