A Grand Welcome to Los Poblanos

Our journey to Los Poblanos began with an enchanting bike ride, meandering along a path gracefully shaded by ancient cottonwood trees. As we pedaled deeper into the property, the urban hum of Albuquerque gradually faded, replaced by the sweet, intoxicating scent of fresh lavender. Rows of these beautiful purple bushes stretched out before us, painting the landscape with their calming hues. In the distance, we spotted the resident alpacas, their curious heads rising as if to acknowledge our arrival, their gentle presence a delightful introduction to farm life.
As we continued our picturesque approach, the striking white adobe buildings, emblematic of classic New Mexico architecture, came into view, flanked by elegant, tall silos. Their welcoming presence signaled our arrival at a destination that promised peace, luxury, and a deep connection to nature. For the next three days, this tranquil haven would be our home, and the sense of anticipation for the relaxation ahead was palpable.

Guests here experience the grandeur and authentic charm of the original estate, with handcrafted details and timeless elegance.

The Farm Rooms & Suites
Inspired by the property’s dairy history, these accommodations are housed in buildings reflecting the 1930s dairy style, characterized by their pitched tin roofs and classic white stuccoed walls. The Farm Rooms offer a unique blend of rustic appeal and modern comfort, providing guests with a direct connection to the farm’s heritage. These thoughtfully designed spaces boast gleaming hardwood floors, captivating original artwork, and, most notably, breathtaking panoramic views of the vibrant fields, lush gardens, and the majestic Sandia Mountains in the distance, especially stunning at sunset.

During my stay, I had the pleasure of experiencing one of the Field Rooms, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The suite was a sanctuary of comfort and style. The king-sized bed was exceptionally large and inviting, promising restorative sleep. The charming fireplace, a focal point of the room, added a cozy ambiance, perfectly complemented by a well-equipped kitchen area that offered convenience without sacrificing aesthetics. Multiple sitting areas, both inside and on the private patio, provided ample space to unwind, read, or simply soak in the serene views. The expansive ensuite bathroom, with its luxurious fixtures and thoughtful design, completed the experience, adding another layer of comfort and privacy.

One of the most delightful and charming aspects of a stay at Los Poblanos is the unexpected and endearing appearances of its resident wildlife. These encounters add a magical, whimsical layer to the already serene environment, truly connecting guests with the natural world.

Imagine being greeted by the vibrant plumage of a peacock or the distinctive call of a guinea hen as you make your way to the on-site restaurant. These beautiful birds roam freely, adding a touch of exotic elegance to the farm landscape. For an even closer encounter with the farm’s animal residents, guests can take a short walk out to the open fields and observe the gentle alpacas grazing peacefully. These moments are more than just sightings; they are an integral part of the Los Poblanos experience, providing unexpected joy and a deeper appreciation for the unique farm environment.

The culinary heart of Los Poblanos is Campo, the inn’s acclaimed on-site restaurant. Campo offers a sophisticated yet inviting dining experience, featuring a full bar and an abundance of seating options, both indoors and al fresco, accommodating everything from intimate dinners to larger gatherings. The restaurant’s philosophy is deeply rooted in the farm-to-table movement, making the most of the fresh, seasonal ingredients harvested directly from Los Poblanos’ own organic farm.
