A Journey Through Flavors: The Wines of Tournon-sur-Rhône

During our exquisite tasting, we sampled three distinct wines, each a testament to the region’s winemaking prowess: one elegant white and two robust reds. We began with the refreshing 2022 Crozes-Hermitage “Les Hauts D’Eole”. This captivating white wine is a blend of Marsanne and Roussanne grapes, harvested from venerable vines boasting an impressive age of at least 45 years. The maturity of the vines contributes significantly to the wine’s concentration and complexity. Finally, we concluded our tasting with the esteemed 2022 Saint-Joseph Esprit de Granit. The name itself, “Esprit de Granit,” pays homage to the distinctive granite soils in which its Syrah grapes are meticulously cultivated – a terroir that imparts unique qualities to the wine.
