Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Oregon Garden Resort firsthand during a midweek girlfriends’ getaway. Originally planned for a larger group, life’s unexpected turns meant it was just my friend A. and me. Despite the smaller party, we were determined to make the most of our time, and the Oregon Garden Resort provided the perfect backdrop for our adventure.

This area is ideal for families, couples, or individuals seeking a place to relax and unwind. The pool area offers a delightful escape, providing a refreshing and enjoyable experience for all.

The Oregon Garden Resort offers two main on-site restaurants, each providing a unique dining experience. The Garden View Restaurant exceeded my expectations with the quality and flavors of its dinner menu. The restaurant’s ambiance is elegant yet comfortable, making it a perfect setting for a special occasion or a casual meal.

Following a captivating visit to the Oregon Garden, we stopped by the Garden View Restaurant for happy hour.

Oregon Garden Resort Restaurant Cocktails — Enjoy handcrafted cocktails at the Oregon Garden Resort restaurant.

My friend enjoyed a glass of wine, while I indulged in a delicious Marionberry Mule, expertly recommended by our waitress. The cocktail was a delightful blend of flavors, perfectly complementing the relaxing atmosphere. The Marionberry Mule is a must-try for anyone visiting the resort.

We shared a selection of appetizers, including:

Each appetizer was perfectly portioned and expertly prepared. The bacon-wrapped dates, served on a bed of fresh veggies and topped with hazelnuts, were a particular highlight. The combination of sweet, savory, and nutty flavors was simply divine.

We also shared the Seafood Pasta entree, which was an absolute delight. The dish featured generous portions of fresh salmon, clams, and shrimp, tossed with penne pasta in a light cream sauce. I appreciated that the pasta wasn’t overly saturated in sauce, as is often the case in many older hotels. The dish was perfectly balanced and incredibly flavorful.

The Fireside Lounge, the second restaurant on the property, is conveniently located adjacent to the lobby entrance.

The Fireside Lounge offers live music and happy hour specials each evening. While we didn’t have the opportunity to visit, it seemed like a fantastic place to enjoy a quick drink and light snacks before exploring the Oregon Garden.

Rest and Relaxation: Accommodations at The Oregon Garden Resort

The separate buildings that house guest accommodations resemble one-story ranch-style homes, common throughout the Pacific Northwest. The architecture is charming and inviting, and the surrounding gardens are impeccably maintained. This creates a welcoming and serene environment for guests.

We stayed in a double queen bed room that was filled with old-world charm and rustic Pacific Northwest touches. The room was cozy and comfortable, providing a relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring.

Our room was equipped with a fireplace, AC/heating system, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. Of course, there was also a flat-screen television and complimentary WiFi. These amenities provided all the comforts of home, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay.

The room was spacious enough for the two of us, and would have comfortably accommodated our other two friends had they been able to join us. However, it might be a bit cramped for a family with four older children staying for more than a couple of nights.

The bathroom was spacious and bright, which I greatly appreciated. My daughter, who prioritizes a great pool and a nice bathroom when evaluating a hotel, would have been thoroughly impressed. The Oregon Garden Resort easily meets both of her criteria for a successful hotel stay.

One of the most pleasant surprises was that each guestroom has a private patio. This was a wonderful place to relax with my friend and enjoy a bottle of wine after a day exploring the Oregon Garden. The patio provided a tranquil and secluded space to unwind and connect with nature.

The Oregon Garden Resort offers a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway for friends, couples, and families. I am even considering a return visit for a solo writing retreat in the future! The serene atmosphere and beautiful surroundings provide the perfect environment for creativity and focus.

The resort is charming and quaint, with a distinct Pacific Northwest charm. While my personal style leans towards modern design, I thoroughly enjoyed this rustic retreat. The Oregon Garden Resort offers a unique and memorable experience that is sure to appeal to a wide range of travelers.
