During our visit, we indulged in a memorable lunch, treating ourselves to the exquisite lobster ravioli, bathed in a rich, flavorful sauce and delicate leeks – a true highlight. We also savored the perfectly portioned pappardelle with zucchini, offering just the right amount to satisfy without overwhelming. The cuisine at Opal is primarily a delightful fusion, blending the fresh, vibrant flavors of local California-inspired fare with subtle yet distinct Asian influences, resulting in dishes that are uniformly delicious and uniquely satisfying.
If your palate craves exquisite fresh seafood, you absolutely must try the delicate Phyllo-wrapped tiger prawns. This bustling, beachfront Italian restaurant is ideally situated in the heart of Santa Barbara, offering not just exquisite food but also a captivating ambiance. Its idyllic exterior, often adorned with charming lights, hints at the refined experience within. The welcoming dining room, coupled with inviting outdoor patio seating, creates a versatile space perfect for any occasion, from a romantic dinner to a celebratory gathering. The fine dining experience at Toma is further enhanced by some of the most efficient, attentive, and professional waitstaff we encountered anywhere during our trip, ensuring every need is met with grace and promptness.
Beyond the exemplary service, the menu at Toma showcases a wide range of delicious pasta dishes, expertly prepared with fresh ingredients. Savor classics like the rich rigatoni with Italian sausage, or experience the delicate flavors of gnocchi served with Argentinian red shrimp.
