This Avocado Lime Dressing is a delightful explosion of flavors, offering a rich, tangy, and incredibly delicious experience. It’s not just a dressing; it’s a versatile condiment that elevates any dish as a dip or sandwich spread!

We’re currently relishing the peak of avocado season, and I couldn’t be happier! Here in the Pacific Northwest, specifically in our mild, wet corner of Oregon, avocado cultivation isn’t as widespread or fruitful. That’s why I’m wholeheartedly embracing the abundance from our southern neighbors and celebrating California Avocado Month with gusto throughout June.
Recently, I had the privilege of previewing the extraordinary California Avocado Month dishes being showcased at Pine Street Market. This experience sparked my creativity and inspired me to experiment with more avocado-centric recipes in my own kitchen.
Creamy Avocado Lime Dressing & Dip: A Symphony of Flavors
I’m a huge fan of crafting a creamy avocado pesto, which I love tossing with pasta. But as summer approached, I felt compelled to create an avocado-based salad dressing that captured the essence of the season.

The marriage of tart lime and creamy avocado is simply irresistible to me. And right now, Hass avocados are at their absolute best! Avocados are like flavor sponges, readily absorbing and enhancing any seasonings or complementary ingredients you add.
They’re also incredibly versatile, fitting seamlessly into a vast array of summer dishes, especially as the weather warms up. So many culinary creations practically beg for the addition of avocado.

Crafting this creamy avocado lime dressing couldn’t be any simpler. Just prepare the ingredients and blend them together in a blender or food processor until you achieve a thick, luxurious, and creamy texture.
That’s all there is to it! A quick, easy, and supremely delicious dressing, dip, or spread awaits.

This vibrant dressing requires only five key ingredients and can be whipped up in about 15 minutes. What’s more, it’s vegan, dairy-free, keto-friendly, and paleo-friendly, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences.

Beyond Dressing: A Versatile Condiment for Endless Culinary Adventures
Recently, I used this creamy avocado lime dressing to create an amazing Instant Pot Shredded Chicken salad. I generously loaded it with bacon, mangoes, even more avocado (of course!), and juicy tomatoes. The combination was absolutely divine! I’ll be sharing the recipe for my Instant Pot Shredded Chicken creation next week, so stay tuned.

While this recipe shines as a salad dressing, its versatility extends far beyond the realm of greens. Consider these exciting alternative uses for your creamy avocado lime creation:
- Sandwich Spread: Spread it on bread to infuse your sandwiches with a zesty and creamy kick.
- Vegetable Dip: Serve it as a delectable dip for an assortment of fresh vegetables.
- Flavorful Sauce: Drizzle it over dishes as a flavorful sauce.
- Huevos Rancheros Topping: Crown a beautiful breakfast of huevos rancheros with a generous dollop of this amazing dressing.
- Nachos Accompaniment: Serve it as a cool and creamy counterpoint to spicy nachos.
- Taco and Quesadilla Enhancement: Add it to tacos, quesadillas, or burritos to elevate their flavor profile.
- Grilled Protein Glaze: Brush it over grilled salmon or steak for a burst of fresh flavor.
- Avocado Toast Upgrade: Simply spread it on toast for a sophisticated twist on classic avocado toast!
