During a recent trip to Washington to experience the
Seattle Wine and Food Experience,
I had the distinct pleasure of lodging at the remarkable
Maxwell Hotel Seattle. This
review will delve into the hotel’s unique charm, exceptional amenities, and
prime location, highlighting why it’s an ideal choice for your next Seattle
adventure.

Nestled in the heart of the Queen Anne district,
The Maxwell Hotel Seattle boasts an enviable location just a
stone’s throw away from Seattle’s most prominent landmarks, including the
Space Needle, Seattle Center, the Children’s Museum, the Museum of Pop Culture
(MoPOP), and the mesmerizing Chihuly Garden and Glass. To further enhance
convenience, the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service to many of
Seattle’s attractions, allowing guests to explore the city with ease. For those
traveling by car, a private guest parking garage is available beneath the
hotel for a reasonable fee.

From the moment you step into the lobby, you’ll be captivated by the hotel’s
modern aesthetic, characterized by a vibrant color palette, luxurious fabrics,
and whimsical decor. The abundance of comfortable seating areas throughout the
hotel creates a welcoming and relaxing ambiance, perfect for unwinding after a
day of exploration.

Adding to the welcoming atmosphere, guests are treated to fresh coffee and
delectable pineapple cupcakes during a complimentary afternoon reception held in
the lobby each day. This thoughtful gesture provides a delightful opportunity
to socialize with fellow travelers and savor a sweet treat.

Luxurious Rooms and Suites

The Maxwell Hotel Seattle offers a diverse range of well-appointed rooms and
spacious suites, catering to the needs of solo adventurers, groups, and
families alike. Room rates typically range from approximately $160 to $300 per
night, depending on the day of the week, room size, and the season.

During my stay, I had the pleasure of experiencing the
Prima Donna Suite, a luxurious haven
capable of accommodating up to six guests with its two king-sized beds and a
comfortable sleeper sofa. The beds at The Maxwell Hotel are exceptionally
comfortable, guaranteeing a restful night’s sleep. I could have easily spent
the entire day relaxing in those plush beds.

Each room is thoughtfully equipped with complimentary high-speed WiFi, a
convenient mini-fridge, an in-room coffee maker, a hair dryer, large golf
umbrellas to shield you from Seattle’s notorious rain, a microwave, an in-room
safe, a large flat-screen television with cable channels, and a variety of other
amenities designed to enhance your stay.

The Prima Donna Suite also features a generously sized bathroom complete with a
relaxing jetted tub and a separate large, walk-in shower, providing a spa-like
experience within the comfort of your own suite.

My personal highlight of the Prima Donna Suite was the inviting sitting area.
This tranquil and spacious area provided a perfect retreat to relax and unwind
after a long day of sightseeing and attending trade shows.

During the day, the sitting area offered breathtaking views of the iconic
Seattle Space Needle, allowing me to admire this world-famous landmark from the
comfort of my suite.

The decor throughout The Maxwell Hotel is undeniably modern, hip, and luxurious.
Regardless of the room or suite you choose, you’re guaranteed to feel
pampered and indulged, experiencing a memorable escape from the stresses of
everyday life.

The Prima Donna Suite would have been more than spacious enough to comfortably
accommodate my entire family, including our beloved dog, with plenty of room to
spare. My children would have absolutely adored this hotel! And I’m certain
our dog would have appreciated the extra space, rather than feeling confined
to a cramped room.

A Family and Pet-Friendly Haven

Speaking of dogs, The Maxwell Hotel Seattle is renowned for its pet-friendly
policy, welcoming up to two dogs of any size – a feature that I greatly
appreciate, as our dog weighs 65 pounds, and we’re constantly seeking
accommodations that don’t impose weight restrictions. Upon arrival, your furry
companion will be greeted with a comfortable dog bed, delectable treats, a
water bowl, and complimentary doggy waste bags for your convenience.

Furthermore, you have the opportunity to “adopt” a cuddly stuffed animal
companion to take home with you. For a modest fee, I adopted an adorable
fellow, initially named Fluffy, whom my children have affectionately renamed
Pineapple – a fitting tribute to the Pineapple Hospitality brand. Proceeds
from these “fluffy adoptions” are generously donated to the local humane
society, allowing you to support a worthy cause while acquiring a charming
souvenir.

In addition to being a superb destination for travelers with furry companions,
The Maxwell Hotel is also a fantastic family-friendly hotel. Throughout my
stay, I encountered numerous children of all ages and families of all sizes
happily exploring the hotel’s halls and lobby.

The swimming pool, while compact, is exceptionally kid-friendly. Similar to the
rest of the hotel, it boasts a bright and cheerful ambiance, complemented by
numerous lounge chairs and tables surrounding the pool area.

Adorable yellow bicycles, including a couple of smaller bikes for children, are
available for complimentary use by guests staying at The Maxwell Hotel,
providing a fun and eco-friendly way to explore the surrounding area.

A Celebration of Art

Everywhere you turn within The Maxwell Hotel, your eyes are treated to a
delightful array of artistic touches. The colorful striped artwork on the
elevator landing was a particular favorite, greeting me each time I waited for
the elevator.

Throughout the hotel, you’ll discover comfortable seating areas adorned with
unique and captivating works of art, creating an immersive and visually
stimulating environment.

For business travelers, The Maxwell Hotel offers spacious meeting rooms and
smaller, more intimate public gathering areas, providing convenient spaces to
check emails or catch up on the latest news while awaiting your next event or
meeting.

Dining Options

Within The Maxwell Hotel, you’ll find the Pineapple Espresso bar (featured in
the lobby photos above), offering a convenient spot to grab quick snacks,
coffees, waters, and juices.

Additionally, The Rock Wood Fired Kitchen, a full-service restaurant, serves up
tasty burgers, pastas, and classic pub fare, catering to a variety of culinary
preferences.

You can also grab a quick drink or bite to eat at the Pineapple Bar, located
adjacent to the main lobby, offering a relaxed atmosphere between 3:30 PM and
9:00 PM.

Final Thoughts

Although my stay at The Maxwell Hotel Seattle was only for one night, I
thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the numerous amenities the hotel
provides. The rooms are beautifully decorated, exceptionally comfortable, and
the entire hotel is a remarkable work of art. The staff is incredibly helpful
and friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable. I eagerly anticipate
returning with my entire family on our next visit to Seattle! I know they would
all love it, especially my daughter, who appreciates the little details and
touches in hotels. She would undoubtedly be impressed by how The Maxwell Hotel
leaves no detail unnoticed, going the extra mile to ensure a relaxing, restful,
and pampered stay for every guest.

The hotel’s location is ideal for families seeking to visit Seattle’s main
attractions while avoiding the noise and bustle of downtown Seattle. You can
conveniently park your car in the private guest garage and then take the
complimentary shuttle downtown if you prefer not to walk. However, most of
the main family-friendly attractions are within easy walking distance, and
there are plenty of great markets and restaurants nearby. I’m excited to share
