I’ve always appreciated the allure of travel, exploring new destinations and immersing myself in different cultures. However, I must admit that cruising hadn’t quite captured my attention until now. I’m about to embark on an adventure that will introduce me to the vibrant world of cruise culture, and I couldn’t be more excited!
The anticipation is building as I count down the days until my flight to New Jersey. Soon after, I’ll be stepping aboard Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas, a marvel of modern cruise technology, for a special pre-inaugural media voyage. I’m absolutely thrilled to experience all that this amazing ship has to offer.
Anthem of the Seas first set sail from Southampton, U.K., earlier this year. It’s now making its way to its permanent home at Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New York Harbor, ready to embark on regular Caribbean voyages. I feel so lucky to be among the first to explore its incredible features.

I’m also looking forward to an awesome cocktail-making session and checking out The Bionic Bar, where robotic bartenders craft personalized drinks. I can already imagine myself humming “Hand me the bourbon-o, Mr. Roboto…” as I watch these mechanical mixologists in action. This is a cruise experience unlike any other!
Breathtaking Views from the North Star
The North Star is a glass observation capsule that elevates guests more than 300 feet above the ocean, offering unparalleled panoramic views. I can’t wait to capture the stunning vistas and create lasting memories from this unique vantage point.

Exploring the many pool and lounge areas is definitely on my list. I’m looking forward to soaking up the sun, enjoying refreshing drinks, and unwinding in the comfortable and stylish surroundings of the ship’s recreational spaces.

And of course, I’m planning to tackle the rock climbing wall, with Gigi the Giraffe watching over me. It’s a fun and challenging activity that I’m excited to experience, adding a touch of adventure to my cruise vacation.

With numerous work deadlines looming, I’ll also be testing out the ship’s renowned superfast wireless connectivity. Anthem of the Seas is known as the most technologically advanced cruise ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, and I’m eager to see its connectivity capabilities firsthand.
