During a recent two-night stay as part of the Yakima Craft Beverage Tour, I had the pleasure of staying in a Standard King room, which was spacious, elegantly decorated, and exceptionally comfortable. The well appointed rooms are perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the Yakima Valley.

The king bed was exceptionally comfortable, striking the perfect balance between plush and firm. It provided the ideal place to unwind and rejuvenate after a full day of exploring the region’s wineries and breweries. Guests can rest easy knowing that a comfortable bed awaits them at the end of a long day.

The Standard King room also featured a cozy armchair with an ottoman, providing a comfortable space to relax and read a book. Additionally, a standard desk with a modern rolling chair was available for those needing to catch up on work or plan their next adventure. One of my favorite details in any hotel room is the inclusion of light fixtures with built-in outlets, a convenient and essential amenity for modern travelers. The convenience can not be beat.

Each room includes a large food and beverage center equipped with a mini-fridge, Keurig coffee maker, ample storage space (ideal for storing those newly acquired wine bottles!), and a microwave. Guests also receive two complimentary bottled waters upon arrival.

The bathroom was adequately sized, exceptionally clean, and offered sufficient counter space. Everything you need is right there.

While the Standard King room is well-suited for couples, families traveling with children may want to consider the Studio Suite, which includes a king bed and a sofa sleeper, or the Standard Two Queen room.

Highlights included a delectable charcuterie and cheese tray (a fitting tribute to the region’s wine country status), a diverse assortment of fresh jams to complement the bagels and pastries, and refreshing fruit-infused water.

Guests also have access to the hotel’s on-site fitness center and the adjacent spa, providing opportunities for relaxation and wellness.

Wrap Up: A Memorable Stay in Yakima

My stay at Hotel Maison was truly enjoyable. The hotel exceeded expectations with its contemporary design, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional staff. The rooms are beautifully appointed, meticulously clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. The hotel’s central location, within walking distance of wine tasting rooms, boutique shops, breweries, and some of Yakima’s finest restaurants, including Cowiche Canyon, further enhances its appeal.

I highly recommend Hotel Maison for solo travelers, couples, girls’ getaways, and families with one baby/toddler or 1-2 older children. The hotel’s quiet and intimate atmosphere may not be ideal for larger, more rambunctious families, especially those seeking a pool. However, for most travelers, Hotel Maison offers a delightful and memorable experience in the heart of Yakima wine country. Definitely check it out!
