Ingredient Notes for Your Antipasto Wreath

Here’s a breakdown of the key ingredients you’ll need to create this delectable Antipasto Christmas Wreath:
- Mozzarella: We recommend using small mozzarella balls, often found in tubs in the deli section of your grocery store (usually 6 to 9 ounces). If you can’t find the balls, you can slice your own mozzarella into bite-sized pieces.
- Salami: Choose your favorite salami slices. Fold them in halves or quarters before adding them to the skewers for a more manageable bite.
- Olives: We love the pop of color and flavor that green olives provide, but you can use any olives you prefer, such as black olives, Kalamata olives, or stuffed olives.
- Tomatoes: Small cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes work perfectly for this appetizer. Their sweetness complements the savory flavors of the other ingredients.
- Olive Oil Marinade: A simple marinade of extra virgin olive oil, kosher salt, and ground black pepper adds depth of flavor and helps to keep the ingredients fresh and vibrant.
- Rosemary: Fresh rosemary sprigs are essential for creating the wreath effect and adding a touch of aromatic fragrance to the dish.

Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Coat the Ingredients: Add the mozzarella balls, tomatoes, and olives to the bowl. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients in the marinade.

Assemble the Skewers: Take a food pick or small skewer. Slide on an olive, followed by a mozzarella ball, a folded slice of salami, and finally a tomato. Repeat until all skewers are assembled.

Arrange the Wreath: Place the skewers in a circle on a board or serving plate to form a wreath shape. Tuck sprigs of rosemary in between the skewers to create a festive wreath look.
You can leave the wreath as is, or fill the center with mini jars of jellies, jams, and honey. Add crackers around the edges for a complete and stunning appetizer platter.
