signs, a strong influence of Korean pop culture, and the irresistible aroma
of sizzling street-food favorites emanating from every corner.

It’s the perfect place for leisurely wandering, delightful snacking, exciting
shopping, and discovering something new and intriguing at every turn. You
can easily spend an entire afternoon sampling your way through Buena Park’s
diverse global flavors. Here are some of the standout spots I had the
pleasure of trying:

Old Ferry Donuts

If you’re a donut aficionado like myself, then a visit to
Old Ferry Donuts is an absolute MUST during your Buena Park
adventure.

This contemporary and trendy donut brand originated in Seoul, Korea, and is
renowned for its exceptional filled doughnuts. With a wide array of
tantalizing flavors like butter pistachio cream, crème brûlée custard,
matcha-cream, and tiramisu, the irresistible combination of rich fillings and
a soft, yeasted dough texture is guaranteed to satisfy even the most
discerning sweet tooth.

The Sweet Box

Sweet Box, another exceptional Korean-style dessert destination,
specializes in crafting visually stunning cakes and pastries with incredibly

Their signature “croffles” (croissant dough expertly pressed in a waffle
iron) arrive at your table golden and perfectly crisp. These aren’t just
desserts; they’re beautiful and delicious works of art, available in a
variety of mouthwatering flavors like matcha and strawberry.

The specialty drinks at Don Melt are equally eye-catching, featuring vivid
pastel lemonades and fruit-infused sparkling waters artfully topped with
lychee jelly or popping pearls. Whether you’re treating yourself or sharing
with friends, Don Melt offers a sweet, photo-worthy, and slightly
unexpected addition to Buena Park’s dynamic dining scene.

Myungrang Hot Dog

It’s the snack you might not know you need, but you’ll be incredibly happy
you tried! Myungrang Hot Dog is a fun and exciting street-food-inspired
destination that delivers bold flavors and Instagram-worthy bites.

These are far from your typical corn dogs. Instead, imagine chewy rice-flour
batter, filled with gooey mozzarella or hearty sausage, all fried to golden
perfection and often covered in crispy potato cubes or a light dusting of
sweet sugar.

This is a fantastic spot for a casual and fun treat, whether you’re looking
for a post-dinner indulgence, a pre-movie snack, or a tasty bite while
exploring The Source.

Gangnam House

The word “Gangnam” translates to “South of the River,” and it refers to the
affluent and fashionable Gangnam district of Seoul, South Korea.

Gangnam House
is a modern Korean barbecue establishment located in The Source OC. Once you
take a seat, the feast truly begins. And what a feast it is! Imagine
thinly sliced bulgogi caramelizing on the grill, spicy-sweet pork belly,
crispy kimchi, and warm, fluffy rice.

The banchan (side dishes) are incredibly fresh and plentiful, and every bite
bursts with bold, savory flavors that are deeply satisfying. It’s a
fantastic spot for a lively and delicious dinner with your girlfriends.

Beyond The Source OC, here are some of the other top food spots we explored:

Thirty Acres Kitchen

Located next to the lobby inside the Knott’s Hotel, Thirty Acres Kitchen is
the ideal place for families to grab a full and satisfying meal before
embarking on a long and busy day at Knott’s Berry Farm.

We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast here, and it was this experience that sparked
my mission to embark on our very own
Boysenberry Food Trail
and sample all things boysenberry at the park. You’ll find humungous, fluffy
pancakes served with a generous drizzle of boysenberry syrup, boysenberry
coffee, and boysenberry jam to accompany their delectable biscuits. Our group
also indulged in an assortment of savory breakfast options, such as their
breakfast sandwiches and biscuits and gravy. The lunch and dinner menus look
equally hearty and satisfying.

Knott’s Berry Farm Restaurants

Within the Knott’s Berry Farm theme park, you’ll discover a wide variety of
restaurants catering to adventure park goers of all ages. From the Saloon to
the Cantina, and the famous Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant located
just outside the entrance of the park, you’ll find everything from quick
snacks to full and satisfying meals. We feasted on churros, fried chicken,
pies, cookies, and so much more. And to keep cool, we enjoyed refreshing
boysenberry lemonades, as well as flights of margaritas.

Nobibi

This pastel-colored, dreamy dessert shop is famous for its soft serve that
tastes like a cloud and looks like a work of art. Their lavender or black
sesame soft serve is silky smooth, fragrant, and subtly sweet, while their
drinks—like the strawberry mint fizz—are refreshing and bright. It’s truly
one of the most Instagrammable spots in the entire city!

The Cauldron Spirits & Brews

Step into this whimsical, French-inspired witchy bar, and you’ll be
instantly transported to another world. Imagine flickering candlelight,
enchanted magical vibes, and cocktails that bubble, smoke, and swirl with
mystical charm. Their bites are New Orleans-inspired and feel indulgent and
cozy.

It’s the perfect fun spot for unwinding with friends after a long work day.
And don’t leave without checking out the secret room!

Porto’s Bakery

Porto’s is a must-visit in Buena Park. The moment you walk
in, the aroma of buttery pastries practically wraps around you. Their famous
pastries are subtly sweet with a flaky, golden crunch. The potato balls have
that perfect crispy shell and creamy, seasoned center. The seasonal pastry
we enjoyed during our visit was an ube eclair, and it was divine!

They also have absolutely delicious and hearty breakfast sandwiches and lunch
menu items. Pair your feast with a strong café con leche and you have the
ultimate morning treat—or afternoon pick-me-up.
